Hays County Emergency Information

Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-19 case overnight, which means the current lab-confirmed total is 222. The number of cases now considered recovered remains at 145. 

Epidemiologist Eric Schneider said 74 years cases are currently active. The number of negative tests is at 2,172. He is awaiting results on 99 tests. He added that those who received testing by the Texas National Guard at the Wimberley and Dripping Springs sites last weekend will be contacted with their results as soon as they are available. The state health department indicated it may take up to seven days for results.

Total hospitalizations to date for Hays County is 24, with four persons currently hospitalized.
