Hays County Emergency Information

Hays County Local Health Department reports 13 new COVID-19 cases today, up from 222 on Saturday, May 16 (as there were no new cases on Sunday), bringing the total of lab-confirmed cases to 235. The number of those considered recovered is now 152, up from 145.

Epidemiologist Eric Schneider said 80 cases are currently active. The number of negative tests is at 2,185. He is awaiting results on 211 tests, 94 of which were conducted at nursing homes today.

Total hospitalizations to date for Hays County is 25, with four persons currently hospitalized.
