Hays County Emergency Information

Hays County Local Health Department reports three (3) new COVID-19 cases today, up from 235 on May 18. That brings the total of lab-confirmed cases to 238. The number of those considered recovered is now 154, up two from yesterday’s report.

Epidemiologist Eric Schneider said 81 cases are currently active. The number of negative tests is at 2,265. He is awaiting results on 205 tests, many of which are from nursing homes along with testing conducted in Dripping Springs and Wimberley on May 10.

Total hospitalizations to date for Hays County is 26, with five persons currently hospitalized.
